Good things come to those who wait.

Did you know that you can maximize the life of your hearing aid batteries by removing the tab and letting them sit for a while before use?  Rayovac recommends that you let the battery sit for at least one full minute after removing the tab before putting it into your hearing aid.  Giving the battery extra time before using it for the first time allows air to enter the battery and fully charge the battery.

Ethan Manuell, an 8th grade student at Rochester Central Lutheran School in Rochester Minnesota has gone a step farther.  In a recent science project he discovered that waiting up to 5 minutes extends the life of hearing aid batteries up to 85%. Ethan has won a number of awards for his project.
